What time of day do you take pictures?
I like to take pictures in the first 2 hours of sunrise or last 2 hours before sunset, which many refer to as the “golden hour.” This time frame produces beautiful, dreamy lighting for your session and is a big part of my photography style.
Where do you take pictures?
All sessions take place in Houston, TX and surrounding areas. I offer sessions in natural settings and have a few select locations I use often. I let clients choose based on preference or proximity to where they live. If you have a specific location in mind, let me know and we can discuss it upon booking!
What should I wear to my session?
My photography style is very soft and light, so I always try to reflect that in my client’s clothing. I encourage wearing neutral colors and patterns to your session because they photograph well with my style and complement the subject and natural environment. I want my clients to be the focus of every image, and believe that even the smallest details matter in the overall tone of your images! Upon booking you’ll receive a session style guide to help you choose your outfits, and I work with clients individually, providing guidance along the way to make sure you’re comfortable and confident in what you’re wearing.
What happens if rain is in the forecast?
I continue to monitor the weather up until 24 hours before my sessions. If it looks like it will rain during our time, we will reschedule to a later date. If it’s cloudy or overcast, I’ll also give the option to reschedule at no extra cost since sunlight is such a big part of my photography style.
How do I pay for my session?
All sessions require an initial, non-refundable deposit of 50% to reserve a session date in my calendar. For your convenience, payments can be made online upon booking. The remainder of your fee can be paid in installments, or you can bring it to your session in the form of cash or check.
What’s your cancellation policy?
I ask that clients notify me of cancellation at least 24 hours before our session time. In case of emergency, you may reschedule to another open date in my calendar subject to my availability. Please keep in mind that your initial booking deposit is nonrefundable for both reschedules and cancellations.
When will I receive my images?
Your images will be delivered to you within 14 days of our session date. I will send all high-resolution, edited digital files to you in an online, password-protected gallery. Rush orders can be applied for an additional charge of $100 to ensure images are delivered within 5 days.
How many pictures do you typically send?
Every session varies, but I typically send between 25 - 50 images from mini sessions and 50+ from full sessions. Some pictures may be variations of the same pose to give you the option to choose your favorite!
Do you offer prints?
Yes! You can purchase prints online through my gallery platform.
Can I bring my pet to my session?
Absolutely! I recommend bringing someone with you to help hold the leash and get your pet’s attention. I’ve also had clients bring a tie-out stake to hold their pets in between pictures.
